Parish Councils are governed by Model Financial Regulations detailing how the Parish Council controls its finances, including accounting and audit procedures, budgetry control and banking arrangements.
Parish Councils have various Powers to act on behalf of their residents, however, they are also governed by various Standing Orders and Codes of Conduct which detail how the Council manages its meetings and communications and its responsibilities with respect to Data Protection Legislation.
Parish Councils are also required to hold appropriate insurance policies.
